Including, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate the recruitment and screening of all staff (certified and classified)
  • Provide New Teacher Orientation & Aspiring Administrators Workshop Series
  • Maintain personnel records for each staff members such as:
    • attendance
    • status changes (Probationary, Tenured, Leave of Absence, etc.,)
    • educational advancement
    • seniority lists
    • preferred eligibility list for laid-off staff
    • BEDS & APPR data
    • certification status
    • mentoring tracking
    • professional development hours for professional certificate holders
  • Oversee employee fringe benefits (health, dental, etc.)
  • Comply with legal requirements such as:
    • Title VI & IX
    • Equal Opportunity Employment
  • Participate in collective bargaining sessions for unionized employee groups
  • Serve a resource to the Board of Education, administrative staff and district counsel on personnel-related  issues
  • Liaison to the Board of Education’s Safety Committee
  • Supervise Director of School Safety
  • Participate in the Crisis Response Team
  • Oversee Teacher Mentoring Activities
